The Opportunity

The Investments Analyst works with the Director of Investments to manage the Daniels Fund investment portfolio and to sustainably advance the legacy of Bill Daniels. This position works closely with the Fund’s investment consultant to provide oversight for the externally managed investment assets (approximate valuation of $1.6 billion). The Investments Analyst is exposed to all aspects of the investment program and impacts the composition and smooth operation of the investment portfolio.

The Role

The Investments Analyst will:

  • Support the implementation of the Daniels Fund’s multi-asset class institutional investment program.
  • Assist in monitoring, researching, and analyzing private equity, private credit, and real asset funds.
  • Facilitate the evaluation of co-investment opportunities that are presented to the Fund.
  • Coordinate and communicate with consultant and outside advisors on matters of investment manager due diligence, investment performance evaluation, asset allocation, and performance reporting.
  • Process investment transactions, capital calls, and distributions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation relating to the investment decision-making process.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of subscription documents, limited partnership agreement amendments, and other legal document matters.
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective investment managers.
  • Follow general economic developments and public and private equity and debt markets.
  • Facilitate preparation of materials and reports for quarterly Investment Committee Meetings and monthly portfolio updates.
  • Process incoming valuation statements and reconcile values with consultant and accounting records.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

    You have demonstrated experience in the financial services industry. You may hold a degree in a quantitative discipline. You may have progress towards a CFA, MBA, CAIA, and/or CPA. You may have 2-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in private equity or evaluating private equity managers, investment management, investment consulting, manager research, investment banking, leveraged finance, management consulting, corporate development, or transaction services.

    You are passionate about investments and financial markets. You have progressive investment experience in a comparable institutional investment setting and knowledge of modern portfolio theory, capital markets, asset allocation modeling, investment risk management tools, investment portfolio mechanics, and general knowledge of all investment asset classes. You have experience in preparing and assessing financial statement reporting and disclosures for investments and investment activity. You can review and understand new tax provisions and compliance matters relative to investments.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The compensation for this position will be in the range of $90,000 to $130,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Daniels Fund offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, vision insurance, LTD, life insurance, a matched 401k retirement plan and a host of additional benefits.
